Experience

I am Italian, I graduated on 26th February with honours (110/110 cum laude) in Classical Philology and Ancient History from University of Pisa. My research interests are long standing. I started to study Classics when I was fourteen, at High School, and I decided to cultivate my interest in the Ancient World. I read Classics at University where I took exams in Ancient Greek and Latin language and literature. I have acquired a good knowledge of Greek and Latin palaeography, through direct analysis of medieval manuscripts and the Latin and Greek papyrology, attending the seminars at The Vitelli Institute of Florence. I also developed a practical experience and good working knowledge of archaeology theory and practice, taking part in an excavation conducted in Cilicia. During my studies, I read many books in the original Greek and Latin language, acquiring solid literary-critic skills, as well as linguistic and historical analysis. The discussion of Ancient Historical documents gave me the opportunity to further enhance my interest in the subject. At the end of my MA I developed a special interest in epigraphy from an analysis of bilingual inscriptions in Greek and Phoenician, which developed into my thesis. I have experience as Italian teacher in UK. During my traineeship period I taught Italian to English students, supporting and tutoring them, and helping with their preparation for the Italian Edexcel/Cambridge exam, GCSE and A level (As and A2), with 72 hours of lessons. I organized the speaking sections and their written work. I have previous experiences as Italian, Latin and old Greek teacher in Italy too, since I was 22. I just attended a course about teaching languages, in particular to teach Italian as a foreign language, to take the DITALS exam on October. Currently I am teaching in London Italian, Latin and piano for beginners
