A Classicist with doctoral studies in Comparative Literature (Classics and English Literature) at University College London(UCL).
Experience
During my 12-year stay in London, I worked as a university tutor of Classics and Latin at UCL, as well as in various academic institutions in the UK in all echelons of education, yet with a particular emphasis on GCSE & A LEVELS (numerous students of mine have entered Oxbridge Universities). As a substitute tutor in London as well as a teacher in almost all London schools of the Greek-Cypriot diaspora, I am well-versed in the cultural specificities that (should) inform any effective teaching method. Additionally, I am highly experienced in teaching adults (Modern Greek, English Lit and Classics), as a I am a firm believer in Continuing Education. Currently I offer private tuition in Greek (Ancient and Modern) to and English-speaking students wishing to enter prestigious UK/US universities. It goes without saying that I am well-acquainted with all syllabuses pertaining to anglophone schools here in Athens. So far, I have been relishing the teaching experience thanks to my highly motivated students :)
