Experience
I have many years of English teaching experience including in a classroom setting, 1:1 tutoring (all of my students have achieved their desired grade or above) and English as a foreign language. Aside from this, I have lots of experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities. This work has often included reading, writing, help with homework and engaging with literature. While at university I have often proof-read and helped edit degree level essays and papers. I also teach English as a foreign language as part of a voluntary project working with asylum seekers. My approach to tutoring is innovative; often using creative exercises and other techniques alongside conventional teaching approaches. I believe that English is a subject which is fun, creative and fulfilling and I work hard to enthuse my pupils with the same passion that I hold.

Aside from Literature my interests are travel, music, theatre and social and community projects, in particular working with asylum seekers.
