Experience
Over the past six years as a tutor, I have specialised in helping students excel in class and prepare for exams. I have worked with children in elementary school as well as students preparing for university, and I am happy with students of any age. I have experience working with students from international educational backgrounds, as well as homeschoolers. I typically teach study skills for standardised tests - SATs, GCSEs and A-Levels - but I find real satisfaction when I can help a student to learn in new ways, to overcome her reflexive "I don't know" and to understand material well enough to teach it herself. I have worked with students across the sciences and humanities, but my favorite subjects are Maths and English. I also teach piano.
