Louise H.
Private tutor in London, United Kingdom
Education
I spent four years as a Ph.D. student and postdoctoral research assistant in an inorganic chemical research laboratory, earning my degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Bristol in 2016. Before that, I earned an MChem with First-Class Honours from Cardiff University in 2012 and an International Baccalaureate diploma from Truro College in 2008. Throughout this time I have mastered many skills including verbal and written communication.
Experience
I am willing to proofread/provide feedback for assignments, essays, reports, and more for those with English as a second language (or indeed first!). To exemplify my skills as a tutor/editor, I have a first-author publication in a high-profile scientific journal (Chemical Communications). Furthermore, I have been recognized for my excellence in oral presentations, winning an award for the best oral presentation at an international conference. I have also taught (and mentored) practical chemistry to undergraduate students and volunteered at local scientific public engagement events and RSC outreach events. At present, I am working as a Freelance Copy-Editor working on editing academic research articles, specifically those using LaTeX software.
